As a former collegiate student-athlete, I have spent countless hours of my life training for a sports that I loved. Sports have taught me so many life lessons that I have implemented into my current practice as a sport and performance psychology consultant. In fact, I believe sports led me to this career path where I can share my passion of helping athletes and teams with enhancing their performance psychology skills, while also being empathetic regarding the demands and pressures sports may place on their lives. My research is primarily focused on the mental health and well-being of collegiate student-athletes, which allows me to implement evidence-based approaches to the individual athletes and teams that I work with in one-on-one sessions, as well as team sessions. As a marathon runner, I have found that I call on these mental skills practices on a daily basis and love to share what I've learned to help other athletes and teams!
I hold a Psy.D. in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of the Rockies. My Master's Degree in Sport Science is from the United Sates Sports Academy. My undergraduate degree in Exercise Sport Science is from Ursinus College, where I played field hockey throughout my education.
I am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). I also am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I am certified in Mental Health First Aide. These certifications allow me to provide a holistic approach when working with athletes and teams.
